However, in addition to content creation, AI is already changing the way we search for services, finding solutions to our problems and answering our burning questions. Search engines are no longer the only option for audiences to search, as tools like ChatGPT, Google AI, Google AI Mode and Perplexity are becoming more popular alternative 'search engines' for users today due to their ability to provide accurate solutions in seconds. As entrepreneurs, this affects our visibility factor significantly, which can impact our businesses in terms of accessibility and reach; however, we as entrepreneurs CAN survive the AI movement- it can allow us to explore diverse ways to maximise our visibility, reach, traffic, and bring more sales.

So in this article, I share my solutions to rank high on AI search platforms to double your reach, visibility and customers to grow your business to the next level:


1.     Appear on Listings, Industry Directories and Brand Partnerships


Research business directories, community or industry events and even corporations that share similar values and backgrounds. Contact business directors and reach out to industry events or organisations, or corporations for collaboration opportunities, and explore how you can both pursue your common purposes through an incentive you can perform together to strengthen your value in the market. Partnering with industry organisations will greatly raise your trust levels with audiences and raise your industry authority- perfect to show across all your marketing and communications channels.

2.     Secure Publicity Opportunities and Build up Backlinks


Get noticed on podcasts, TV shows, web series, and industry publications.  This will not only increase your industry credibility but also increase the amount of content for your business, meaning more third-party backlinks to your business to raise your reach and industry authority greatly. The secret to securing those important opportunities is to network as much as possible through various channels, including networking events, conventions, social media, and existing contacts.

3.     Get Involved in Industry Community Forums


Industry community forums within your industry are another way to build your credibility and highlight yourself as an expert in your niche, raising your chances of easily being ranked high on AI platforms. Research community forums in your industry, sign up, and start a conversation or get involved in existing ones related to your areas of expertise. Reddit is another forum where you can begin and start conversations and heighten your presence and visibility, but be sure to only get involved and start threads in relation to your niche, as it is a very broad community forum covering multiple topics and news across multiple interests.

Creating a blog holds four times more value than a social media post, meaning your audience will receive more value and gain more trust from you as an expert. Start a weekly or monthly blog and base posts related to your specialist areas of expertise, but also related to core pain points your target customers are experiencing and their desired outcomes. That way, you’ll create content and a brand that your audience will want to connect with and buy from.

5.     AI-Optimise your Site and Content – SEO!  


Following the previous tips, now that you have a blog and/or backlinks to external pages from publicity appearances and/or directory pages, remember to use SEO. Ensure all your media appearances and any external links to your brand presence are included in your website. Optimise all posts from your blog and all pages on your website. Don’t forget to use relevant keywords and phrases to ensure your blog articles and website pages are connected to common search queries and terms your target customers may consider. Google Keyword Planner or SEMrush are perfect tools to use to look up common keywords and search terms your target audiences may consider to help you polish up your page optimisation. The more optimised your pages are to your audience's needs and search queries, the greater the chances AI will pick up your business.

6.     Develop a Strong Social Media Presence


Lastly, develop a strong, consistent social media presence across channels that are relevant to use within your industry and where you'll mostly find your target customers. Aim to post at least three times a week and base postings on key areas of your expertise and challenges your target audiences experience on a day-to-day basis, as well as their goals and desires, to ensure you are delivering valuable, resourceful content.
